Each student of Stella Maris is looked upon as an individual endowed by God with certain talents, with her own character and personality , which must be developed and perfected. Stella Maris looks to each of her students to uphold the standards of the College, not only within the College, but also beyond , and   not only during her student years but all  through her life. The spirit of Stella Maris is one of truth, purity of life, charity, service and devotion to God and one's country. It is for each Stella Marian to cultivate this spirit within herself and in relation to others around her.

Truth and charity should be the hallmark of a true Stella Marian and this should be exemplified above all in their relations with each other. They should be courteous, helpful and charitable, avoiding anything that might offend others. They should uphold the moral standards of honesty, respect for elders and kindness towards all.

Every Stella Marian should apply herself to regular and concentrated study. Such discipline is necessary not only for standards of performance but also for character formation.

Wherever many individuals live together, discipline is necessary and this is especially true of an institution for the education of youth. This discipline is formative, not repressive. It leads the student to develop self-control , which is the essence of a well-ordered and successful life. Therefore, Stella Maris requires of her students, conformity to certain regulations calculated to benefit the entire College as well as the individual student.

Change of Residence

The student shall report to the College office whenever she changes residence. Failure to report within three days will be regarded as a serious breach of discipline. In the case of students residing in the hostel, permission to vacate the hostel must be obtained in advance and in writing from the Principal.

By the very fact of joining the College, students agree to observe the rules and regulations of the College. The decision of the Principal shall be final in all matters of discipline and enforcement of rules.
