Computer Lab

The department is one of the latest additions to the college which came into existence in 1998. Courses offered include a two-year Postgraduate Degree Programme leading to a M.Sc. Information Technology degree . One of the oldest programmes offered by the department  is a one year Postgraduate Diploma Programme in Computer Science with an affiliation to the University of Madras.

Value Education

Catholic Doctrine/Ethics/Scripture. All PG students are expected to earn 2 credits over two years.

Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science

Objective

To impart appropriate, state-of-the-art theoretical and practical skills to students enabling them to take up a suitable career in the Computer Industry and related areas of computer applications or pursue higher education.

Duration

One year - course consists of two semesters including three months of Project Work.

Semester I

Semester II

Theory Class will be supported by practical demonstrations and practical laboratory sessions whenever appropriate,

Project

3 months duration in any organization, acquainting oneself with the development of computerized applications to meet the specific organizational requirements.

Pre-requisites

B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. Degree

A team of in-house and visiting faculty drawn from the industry and academic institutions, a well equipped laboratory with the latest technology and personalised training.

Admission

Last date of application is 10 days after the publication of B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. results by the University of Madras.
