Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of the college has
been set up in the year 2006, with the support of National
Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board
(NSTEDB),Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, with the aim of
motivating students of different disciplines to take up
Entrepreneurship as a career option by giving an inter disciplinary approach to various projects and skill based orientation
programmes in a new dimension. The EDC is aimed at imparting entrepreneurship
education to the students to develop entrepreneurial initiative in
them and motivate them to become successful entrepreneurs.It is also aimed at
assisting women, to start a micro enterprise, which would instill
self confidence and help in the socio economic growth of the
women.
OBJECTIVES:
- To enhance self/wage employment opportunities
- To incorporate Entrepreneurship as a part of
the curriculum
- To make learning interesting and challenging
to the students.
- Reach
Science; Technology to the students and rural woman and
motivate them take up entrepreneurial ventures.
- To organize Inter Collegiate seminars/Guest
Lectures/Workshops/Training programmes and Faculty Development
Programmes.

To conduct market and social surveys to
identify the local entrepreneurial opportunities.
- To collaborate with other institutions and
assist the Entrepreneurs in setting up Quality Enterprises.
- To
impart Skill development training to the students and economically
weaker sections of the society and motivate them to start their
own enterprise and ensure testing and quality assurance for all
the projects.
